Naomi Dixon

Naomi Bryant (Parker) Dixon, 87, of Beeville, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016. Mrs. Dixon was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Brady to Ida Sanford and George Parker. She married Carl Dixon and was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Derrell Bryant; nine brothers; three sisters; and a son-in-law, Jose Chavez. Survivors include her husband, Carl Dixon; a son, Gary (Kay) Bryant of Mississippi; a daughter, Lisa Chavez of Arlington; five grandchildren, Rocky Bryant, Brieanna Bean, Maura Chavez, Marissa Reid and Marisela Chavez; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. A chapel service will be conducted there following visitation at 2 o'clock with Michael Fritz and David Cave officiating. Burial will be at Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Judd Bean, Cody Bean, Beau Garner, Larry Adams, David Todd, and Jimmy Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Bean.
