Nita Mcclendon

Nita Sue McClendon, 87, of Three Rivers, died Monday, July 16, 2018.

Mrs. McClendon was born March 1, 1931, to Hudson and Dora Coker in George West. She married Eugene A. McClendon on March 28, 1951. She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 19 years and then with First State Bank in Three Rivers for 33 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Oakville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hudson and Dora Coker; and two sisters, Eva (Bill) Tullis and Mary Louise (Ross) McClendon.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene A. McClendon of Three Rivers; two sons, Kent McClendon and Cole (Vickie) McClendon of Three Rivers; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Baker of Lytle; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 17, from 5 to 7 p.m.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Oakville Cemetery in Oakville, with Rev. Tommy Stogner officiating.

Pallbearers will be Carrie Tullis, Larry Talley, Rodney Wieding, Allen Zamzow, Mike Younts and George DuBose.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Ham and Kyle Brown.
