Oble Foley

Oble Martin Foley, 88, of Houston, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011. Mrs. Foley was born April 8, 1923, in Beeville to Oble Chloe (Bell) and William Ollie Martin. She married Aubrey Lee Foley in Phoenix, Ariz., on Nov. 3, 1942. She was the office manager for an ophthalmology office and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, William Glenn Foley. Survivors include a daughter, Maureen (Daymon) McElyea of Schertz; a brother, Glenn (Libbie) Martin of Houston; a sister, Helen Spriggs of Houston; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Glenwood Cemetery. A graveside service was conducted there at noon. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
