Oleta Joy Huebotter

Oleta "Joy" Huebotter, age 87, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025. She was a cherished spouse, devoted mother, loving grandmother, and beloved daughter.

Joy is preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Ozella Neff; a son, Harold Huebotter, Jr.; her husband, Harold Huebotter Sr.; and her seven siblings.

She is survived by her children, Harvey Huebotter, Sr. and wife Susan, Louise Stephens and husband Jerry, Debra Diefenbach and husband Robert, Brenda Key and husband William and Billy Huebotter; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Joy was a master seamstress, known for her exceptional skills and creativity. She was a doting grandmother who always had time for her grandchildren, offering endless love and support. As a mother and mother-in-law, she was extremely supportive, always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her role as a wife was marked by her unwavering dedication and love. Her love of Jesus Christ was unwavering and her desire to please him was her dying wish. 

Joy had a passion for reading her Bible and spent many hours putting pen to paper with her prayers for her family, gardening and finding joy and peace among her plants and flowers. She was also incredibly handy, able to build anything with her bare hands, a testament to her resourcefulness and determination.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love, strength, and creativity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 8, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers followed by a graveside service at 11:15 in the Three Rivers Cemetery. Rev. Jesse Hammonds will officiate.
