Opal Lockhart

Opal J. (Mickan) Lockhart was born on July 26, 1932 and passed away on December 24th, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Lockhart, and many loved ones. She is survived by her 5 children, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and other loving family and friends. Opal spent 69 years in nursing, starting out as a nurse aide, then an LVN, RN, Consultant, Director of Nurses, and then finishing her career, doing what she loved most, working with her patients as an RN. Next to nursing, her favorite pastime was cruising the Caribbean and visiting the islands. Oh, and of course playing Canasta. Visitation will be at Galloway Funeral Home, in Beeville, Texas, on Tuesday, December 29th at 10 am. Graveside service will be at San Domingo Cemetery in Normanna, Texas on Tuesday, December 29th at 1:30 pm.
