Ora Pauline (Ford) Lamb Caldwell, 78, of Beeville, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at home, surrounded by her family, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Caldwell was born Sept. 12, 1939, in Clareville to Ella Enola (Uhlig) and Al Ford; her mother then married William "Bill" Thompson, who raised her. She married Lowden Ray Caldwell in 1991. She was a retired food service manager from TDCJ and was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Aline Werlla and Darlene McNeil; brothers, Jerry Ford and James Ford; and a grandson, Nicholas Kye Lamb.
Survivors include her husband, Lowden Caldwell of Beeville; four daughters, Jeri (Scott) Baker of Corpus Christi, Cheryl (Pat Simpson) Stewart of Houston, Jackie Lamb and Denise (Dickie) Scott, both of Beeville; a son, James (Susan) Lamb of Beeville; Maynard "Bud" Lamb of Beeville, the father of her children; 11 grandchildren, Dustin Baker, Ryan Baker, Kristen Pickhartz, Roy John Stewart Jr. Jeremy Byrd, Jessi Martinez, Ashley Becker, John Scott V., Brian Lamb, John Coleman Lamb and Peyton Lamb; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Glenwood Cemetery.
