Orlynn Rogers, 86, of Beeville, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011. Mr. Rogers was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Karnes City to William Hubert and Ida Lee Vickery Rogers. He married Louise Munsell on Jan. 16, 1948. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was a member of Papalote Baptist Church, Papalote Volunteer Fire Department and was a scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop #172. He was a mechanic for Rainbow Bakery and retired after 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Hubert and Ida Lee Rogers; a daughter, Janice Sue Morsbach; and a son-in-law, Fred "Buddy" Hayman. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Louise Rogers of Karnes City, formerly of Papalote; three daughters, Cynthia Hayman of San Antonio, Kathleen Rogers Echevarria of Beeville and Connie Jean Rogers of Papalote; a son, Orlynn Richard (Brenda) Rogers of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Imogene Manthey of Gillette, Eunice Schroller of Corpus Christi and Joann Bosanka of Stockdale; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service was conducted there at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Joe Rogers officiating. Interment followed at Papalote Protestant Cemetery in Papalote. Music was provided by Joyful Noisemakers. Pallbearers were Charles R.
