On the evening of December 2, 2018, Patricia Ann Conroy, lovingly known as Tama, passed away surrounded by those she loved in San Antonio, Texas. The youngest of three daughters, she was born on August 11, 1937, to Mable and Clarence King Sullins in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In 1983, she married her soul mate and the love of her life, Richard Conroy. Together, they created an incredible legacy who will carry on their spirit for generations to come. Patsy loved holidays and get-togethers with family and friends, as well as all opportunities to spend time with her family as a cause for celebration. She, along with her beloved Richard, would spend hours cooking and preparing a feast for all. Patsy was an utterly devoted friend, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who would do anything for those closest to her at the drop of a hat. Cherished by many, she had a contagious laugh, tenacious spirit, and generous heart. Patsy will be remembered for her feisty and fiery sense of humor. She traveled throughout the country as the ultimate cheerleader and sports fan to three generations of loved ones, who participated in little-league baseball, girl's state track & field meets, high school football games, and golf tournaments that ranged from amateur standing through to professional. She also loved her toy poodles: Toi and Joy; gambling, and shopping on QVC.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Shirley Davidson.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Douglass Conroy of George West, Texas; sister, Joan Cortinas (Joe) of Brownsville, Texas; daughter, Debra Ann Rich Jamison (Allan) of Gonzales, Texas; and sons, Curtis King Rich (Mona) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Curt Boyd Conroy (Ruth) of Pleasanton, Texas.
Together, Patsy and Richard experienced insurmountable joy and happiness from their grandchildren, Andy Aduddell, Jessica Jamison, Brent Jamison, Reagan Rich, Ryan Rich, Elle Rich, Bennack Conroy and Lilley Conroy as well as three great-grandchildren, Brooks Aduddell, Ragan Aduddell and Charlotte Rich.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 followed by the funeral ceremony at 11 o'clock at First United Methodist Church in George West.
