Patricia Ruebush

Patricia Dolan Ruebush, 87, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015. Patricia was born to Ernest and Helen (Scheewe) Strauss in Santa Maria, California on May 20, 1927. She married her first husband, David Odem Dolan, and had two daughters, Mary and Anne. After the passing of David, she married her second husband, John Bruce Ruebush, in Beeville, Texas on April 19, 1964, and had another daughter, Pamela. Patricia retired from Zimmer Flower Shop and the Bee Answering Service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Ladies Auxiliary, serving as past president, a member of the V.F.W., and the Art Guild. She loved to dance, and was a member of several dance clubs. She also enjoyed painting and collecting antiques. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, David Odem Dolan; second husband, John Bruce Ruebush; one brother, Jack Strauss. She is survived by three loving daughters, Mary Dolan (Thomas) Daughters, Anne Dolan (Ray) Vowel and Pamela Ruebush (Ron) Williams; one sister, Marjorie (John) Zimmers; four grandsons, Stephen, Tyler, Ryan and David; one great-grandson, Trevor; two great-granddaughters, Coraline and Catherine; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Chapel in Beeville. Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Paul Kottachal, celebrate. Interment followed at Beeville Memorial Park.
