Patsy Ruth Tillotson Chandler, 78, of Round Rock passed away at home on October 28 with her family at her side. She was born to the late Richard and Esther Bales and grew up in McAllen Texas where she graduated high school and was a member of the band and the National Honor Society. Besides her children Patsy is survived by two sisters, JoAnne Averitt and Charlotte Graves, and an aunt, Patty Rogers. In 1955, Patsy married the late Louis Randolph "Tiny" Tillotson and together they lived in McAllen, Brownsville, and Three Rivers, Texas. They had five children, Rick (Allison) Tillotson, Vicki (David) Roberts, Jennifer (Gary) Hall, Randy (Alicia) Tillotson, and Bill (Sharon) Tillotson. There are also eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Many years after Randolph's passing, in November 1992 Patsy married the late Clarence Chandler. His family loved Patsy dearly and she always included them in her life and heart. There is Allen (Terry) Chandler, Leslie (Marylou) Chandler, Mary Nell Chandler, Carl (Peggy) Chandler, Billy (Teresa) Chandler, and Wayne (Shannon) Chandler. There was also Clarence's mother the late Lillie Chandler, plus sixteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. After Clarence's passing in 1998 Patsy moved to Round Rock to be near many of her children and grandchildren. She became very involved at the Westside Church of Christ including numerous adventures with the "Old Bunch". Patsy was an active and distinguished volunteer for over fifteen years at the St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. Her grandchildren called her "Gran-Honey" and her great-grandchildren simply called her "Honey". She was known for helping people and talking about her Lord Jesus. Her home and heart were always warm and full of the love of her friends and family. Patsy is preceded in death by granddaughter Jean and grandsons Brian and Scott. A brief celebration of Patsy's life will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, November 2, at the Westside Church of Christ, 3300 FM 1431, Round Rock, 512-388-9999. A brief graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Monday, November 3 at the Three Rivers (Texas) Cemetery with a reception following at the Three Rivers Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, Patsy had requested that donations please be made to the Sunny Glen Children's Home (956-399-5356) and the Central Texas Children's Home (512-243-1386).
