Patsy Geraldine Schirmer

Patsy Geraldine (Gray) Schirmer, 87, of Beeville, Texas passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, in San Antonio.

Patsy was born August 16, 1936, in Beeville to C.C. “Pete” Gray and Avis (Freeze) Gray. She married Henry Reinhold Schirmer on December 31, 1952. Henry and Patsy moved to the Clareville Community in December 1957 where they began farming. She enjoyed sewing, working in the yard, tending to her garden, cooking, and visiting with her family and friends in her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Avis Gray; her brothers, Larry Gray and Fred Gray; her son, Edwin Schirmer; and her beloved husband, Henry Schirmer on March 17, 2023.

Patsy is survived by her sister, Beverly Hargis; her children, William (Lori) Schirmer and Patricia (Gene) Herrmann; grandchildren, Julienne (Chris) Sugarek, Trisha (Andy) MacDonald, Kristen (Chad) Henderson, Karissa (Joshua) O’Brien, Sara (Garrett) Herbst, Stephanie Schirmer, Chance Schirmer and Jamie Herrmann; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, followed by the funeral service for Patsy G. Schirmer and a memorial service for her beloved husband, Henry R. Schirmer at 10 o’clock at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville with Pastor Joshua O’Brien officiating.

Burial will follow in the Clareville Cemetery in Clareville, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Julie Sugarek, Trisha MacDonald, Kristen Henderson, Karissa O’Brien, Sara Herbst, Stephanie Schirmer, Chance Schirmer and Troy Schirmer.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Jamie Herrmann.
