Paula Inez White

Paula Inez White, 83, of Beeville, Texas passed away March 20, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.

Paula was born May 11, 1941, in Beeville to Pablo Rodriguez and Aqueda “Lita” (Borrego) Rodriguez. She was a proud graduate of the A.C. Jones High Class of 1960 and married Albert White in Beeville on April 10, 1993. She dedicated numerous years as a bookkeeper and served as the president of the Beeville Optimist Club, where she contributed significantly to the betterment of her community. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, a testament to her faith and commitment to her spiritual community. Her joys in life included traveling, planting roses and tending to her garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Lita Rodriguez; a sister, Teresa Rodriguez (John) Pendergraph; and the father of her children, Salvador Cano.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Albert White; a son, Christopher Cano; two daughters, Mary Ann (Michael) Ashley and Cecilia (Richard) Smith; two grandsons, Michael Ashley and Brandon (Selina) Ashley; three great-grandchildren, Oriana Ashley, Aneleh Ashley and Brandon Ashley Jr.; a sister, Adelfa Chacon; and a brother, Jesse Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville with a Rosary to be recited at 7 o’clock that evening.

The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27 with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating.

Interment will be private.
