Paulette (Coffey) Humphrey, 76, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her residence in Waller, Texas, on February 17, 2025. She was born on August 10, 1948, in Alice, Texas, to L.D. Coffey and Eunice (Jacobs) Coffey.
Paulette was a graduate of A.C. Jones High School. On August 14, 1965, she married her beloved husband, Robert L. Humphrey Sr., at First Baptist Church in Beeville, Texas. Their marriage was a testament to deep love and unwavering partnership, qualities that flourished throughout their years together. Paulette was a dedicated Title I Reading Aide, imparting knowledge and nurturing young minds with the same love she showed her own family.
She took great joy in her roles as mother and grandmother, finding immense pride in her family and a caregiver to all. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Paulette was a devoted member of the Cowboy Church of Brenham where she shared her faith with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Eunice Coffey; as well as her brothers, Bill Coffey and David Coffey.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Robert L. Humphrey Sr.; her son, Bobby (Misti) Humphrey; her daughter, Mechelle (JR) Rosalez; her cherished granddaughters, Stevie (Michael) Rumfolo and Megan (Zach) McLaren; and a sister, Jeanette (Joe) Sciba.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, February 24, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Mosher officiating. Burial will be private.
Honorary pallbearers will be Blayke Ogletree, Tyler Parker, Bobby Humphrey, Tommy Humphrey, Brice Humphrey and Dylan Coffey.
