Raemona Southwell McNeill, 81, passed away on January 28, 2011. She was born to George Thomas and Lucille (Beall) Southwell on October 30, 1929, in Beeville, Texas. She married Scott Edward McNeill, Jr. on June 1, 1947, in Beeville, Texas. She was a real estate broker who founded McNeill Properties, an acclaimed local artist, and was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church. She was a member of Rosetta, Wednesday Luncheon Club, Beeville Art Guilde, and Daughters of the King at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. She is survived by two sons, Wade Southwell McNeill and wife Brenda of Austin, Texas, and Scott Edward McNeill, III of Rockport, Texas; two daughters, Raemona McNeill Fuller and husband King of Beeville, Texas, and Anna Kathleen McNeill of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Anne Spellmann of Corpus Christi, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Scott D. McNeill, Christian A. McNeill, Martha Aleene McNeill Bell, Mary Wade Southwell Bell, Madeleine Rose Freeman Bell, Whitney Fuller Moseley (husband Robert Moseley), and Otis King Fuller, III; and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Scott Edward McNeill, Jr., D.V.M., brother, Samuel B. Southwell, and sister-in-law, Marjorie McNeill Roberts. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Hospice of South Texas, Mrs. McNeill's wonderful nurses, and the four angels who tended to her with respect, love and care. A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church with Father Clayton Elder officiating. Special music was provided by organist John Blackburn. Memorial donations may be made St. Philip's Episcopal Church (or school) or Hospice of South Texas.
