Ray Ginn Jr., 87, of Beeville, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016. Mr. Ginn was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Plano to Murel Pearl (Cook) and Ellis Ray Ginn. He married Doris Caron in George West on June 8, 1947. He was the owner of Cox Moving & Storage and was a member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Murel Ginn; and a brother, John Ginn. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Doris Ginn of Beeville; sons, Ellis "Nubbin" (Renelle Romine) Ginn of Beeville, Rodney (Danette) Ginn of Tilden and Mark (Rose Ann) Ginn of George West; a daughter, Gwenyth (Bill) Burris of Beeville; grandchildren, Melissa Thomas, Tracie Coffey, Jeremy Ginn, Jennifer Forks, Raygin Burris, Megan Burris, Keleigh Tuttle and Kristi Ryan; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margie Kendall and Mildred (Sonny) James, both of George West; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted Friday, Feb. 5, at First Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mac Robinson, Rev. Homer Hanna and Rev. Greg Traylor officiating. Musical selections will include "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beulah Land." Burial will be at George West Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael P. Ginn, Raygin Burris, Jeremy Ginn, Chris Thomas, Richard Ryan and Charlie Tuttle.
