Regena Faye (Mulinix) Coley, 84, of Beeville, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Mrs. Coley was born Aug. 23, 1932, in Allison, Texas to Oma Lee (Short) and Elzie Jackson Mulinix. She married Joe “Bud” Coley Jr. in Alice on Jan. 19, 1951, and was retired as Bee County Deputy Clerk for 32 years. She was a Baptist and a member of VFW Post 9170 (past president) and Bee County American Legion Unit 274 (past and present president). She was an avid bowler, bingo and gambler player, and enjoyed dancing and country music. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Charlie; grandson, Cody Morgan; a great-grandson; four sisters; two brothers; three daughters-in-law; and a great-granddaughter-in-law. Survivors include two daughters, Nora Racicot of Vermont and Martha Morgan of Beeville; a son, George (Debbie Martinez) Coley of Beeville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, April 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service will be conducted there at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, with Rev. Pat Traxler officiating. Musical selections will include “Amazing Grace” and “The Old Rugged Cross”. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Doubrava Jr., Roy Coley, Arthur Smith, Joe “JoJo” Moreno, Raymond Alcorta, Cody Morgan and Don Coburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Sugarek, James Carter, Juan Alcorta and the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Unit 274.
