Richard Gilmore

Richard H. Gilmore, 54, of Beeville, died Monday, June 27, 2011. Mr. Gilmore was born Sept. 12, 1956, in Corpus Christi, to Nell Sanders and Billy Ray Gilmore. He married Claudia Hewitt in Beeville on May 10, 1997, and was a tech supervisor with KAVU TV in Victoria. He was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed golfing and music. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Claudia Hewitt Gilmore of Beeville; a step-son, Derrick Hewitt of Houston; a step-daughter, Candace Landrum of Austin; a sister, Kathy Moritz of Beville; a brother, Joel Gilmore of Corpus Christi; and his mother, Nell Gilmore of Beeville. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 o'clock following visitation with Rev. Greg Traylor officiating. Musical selections will include "I Can Only Imagine," "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" by organist Mary Ellen Thoms and vocalist Candace Landrum.
