Richard Charles Huebner

Richard Charles Huebner, 63, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He was born December 15, 1959 in Robstown, Texas to Travis and Willadeen (Smith) Huebner. He was a graduate of A.C. Jones High School and enjoyed life with his wife Melinda Bennett.

Richard was one of twelve siblings. He was a hard worker, a caring brother, a devoted husband, and a loving father.  His family was important to him. He loved family get-togethers and cutting up with everyone. He loved working in the yard and completing his "honey-do" lists. Richard was a "Jack of all Trades, Master of None".  He always jumped in whenever someone needed help with something. He worked as a technician for a Seismic company for over 35 years. His co-workers called him "Slick Rick". But, what he was most proud of was his son, Travis. Richard adored him and loved bragging about him, showing off his pictures and sharing stories of their visits and adventures together. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Willadeen Huebner; and a brother, Donald Huebner.

Richard is survived by his wife, Melinda Bennett; a son, Travis Huebner; seven brothers, Steve (Carole) Huebner of Normangee, Texas, James (Elsa) Huebner of Beeville, Texas, Eddie Huebner of Seguin, Texas, Johnny Huebner of Cypress, Texas, Danny Huebner of Seffner, Florida, David Huebner of Jasper, Georgia and Bobby (Brenda) Huebner of Hillsborough, Indiana; and three sisters, Mary Huebner of Beeville, Texas, Barbara Chandler of Houston, Texas and Lisa Huebner of Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home in Beeville with a Rosary recited at 5 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Pete Elizardo officiating.

Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Steve Huebner, Eddie Huebner, David Huebner, Chris Chandler, Justin Gonzales and Danny Rodriguez.
