Robert Bocquet

Robert August Bocquet, 93, of Beeville, passed away on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at a local nursing home.
Mr. Bocquet was born Oct. 15, 1924 in Beeville to Oscar Jacob and Anne (Henderson) Bocquet. He married Myrtle Nell Rosebrock on Nov. 27, 1959, at St. George Catholic Church in George West.
He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force having served four years during World War II. He was stationed in Germany shortly after the war ended. He was employed with Stanolind Oil & Gas Plant in Pettus and Pan American Production and Amoco Production companies. He retired from the Beeville Production Area in May 1984 and from the USAF Reserves in October 1984 with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Nell Bocquet of Beeville; a daughter, Laura Ann Bocquet of New Braunfels; a son, John William Bocquet of Beeville; and four grandchildren, Robert Pike, Amanda Pike, Mary August Clapp and Shannon Bocquet.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
