Roberto Alaniz

Roberto Ruiz Alaniz ("Bobby"), 64, passed away on January 1, 2016. Born on July 26, 1951 to Esteban and Delia (Ruiz) Alaniz in Alice, Texas, Bobby resided in George West most of his life and was a member of St. George Catholic Church. Before his death, Bobby worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and previously owned El Comedor Restaurant in George West. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Delia Alaniz and his daughter, Jennifer Alaniz. Bobby is survived by four children, Jacqueline Alaniz El-Bouchtaoui from Washington, DC, two sons and a daughter from San Antonio, Robert Lee Alaniz, Robert Alaniz II, and Elyse Alaniz Bernal; three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Axl, and Paisley Alaniz; and two brothers, Martin Alaniz and Esteban Alaniz, Jr. both of George West. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West with a rosary at 7 p.m. that evening at St. George Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, at St. George Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
