Rodney Hale

Rodney Allen Hale, 60, of Beeville, Texas, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Houston Methodist Hospital.

Rodney was born December 18, 1961 in Beeville to Robert Dennis Hale and Vera Lee (Shaw) Hale. He was a graduate of Alice High School. He married Brenda Kay Surber November 14, 1981 at First Baptist Church in Alice, Texas. He was a faithful member of Brush Country Cowboy Church in George West and was employed as an operator at Celanese in Bishop, Texas. When he wasn’t working, he was spending time with his family. If there was a swim meet or any sporting event his grandchildren were participating in, you would find him in the bleachers. He loved playing dominoes with his highly competitive family. He also enjoyed driving his tractor, taking care of his cows and just being at home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Hale.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Brenda Hale of Beeville; two daughters, Caye Lynne (Brad) Schmidt of Beeville and Amy (TJ) Salinas of Odem; son, Cody Hale of Beeville; six grandchildren, Kaylee Miller, Baileigh Schmidt, Dakota Schmidt, Ryan Salinas, Jacob Salinas and Kenzie Hale; his mother, Vera Hale of Beeville; his brother, Dennis (Kathy) Hale of Alice; and his sister, Debbie (Jeff) Ward of Sandia.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at Brush Country Cowboy Church in George West with Pastor Pat Traxler officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Beeville.

Pallbearers will be Cody Hale, Brad Schmidt, TJ Salinas, Jeff Ward, Andy Peterson and Danny Flores.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
