Ruben Gamez

Ruben Gamez of George West, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in San Antonio. He was 38.

Ruben was born August 30, 1980 in Beeville, Texas, to Jose Moya Gamez and Consuela Cantu Sanchez. He was a member of Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Gamez; and grandparents, Juan and Beatrice Gamez.

He is survived by his mother, Consuela Sanchez of Three Rivers; a sister, Minnie Cantu of George West; three brothers, Robert Diaz of Three Rivers, Daniel (Rachal) Diaz of Alabama and Louie Diaz of Three Rivers; his grandparents, Tony and Mary Ortiz of George West; aunts and uncles, Braulio and Anita Carvajal of George West, Alfredo and Barbara Gamez of Kyle, Elma Hampton of Rising Star and Juan and Maria Gamez of Carrollton; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West, Texas.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2019, at the Spanish Church of Christ with Preacher Braulio Carvajal III officiating.

Burial will be private.
