Later in life Ruby was a manager of several local convenience stores where she was not only loved and respected by her colleagues, but by its patrons. She was known to always have a smile on her face and was a friend to all.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her son, David L. Herzog.
She is survived by her brother, Jim (Della) Hearn of Flatonia, TX; and sisters, Lois Foxell of Yoakum, TX, Judy (Larry) Barre of Rockport, TX, and Jewel (Delton) Spree of Edna, Texas; her children, George (Marsha) Herzog of Aransas Pass, Texas, Katherine Tollette and G. Henry Herzog both of Skidmore, Texas, and Patty (Neal) Bieler of Glen Rose, Texas. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; as well as many nephews and nieces.
