Sandra Clark

Sandra (Jones) Clark, 61, of Beeville, died Saturday, June 28, 2014. Mrs. Clark was born Oct. 16, 1952, in Beeville, to Wanda Mae Cox and Elmer Randolf Jones. She married Scott Randal Clark in Beeville on March 23, 1973, and worked for many years for the county under District Clerk Margie Carter. She took over as interim district clerk after Mrs. Carter, and was then voted in as the District Clerk until her retirement. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Nathan Clark; her husband, Scott Clark; and two brothers, Billie and Dallas Talley. Survivors include a daughter, Nickelle (Rene) Gonzales of Beeville; three grandchildren, Nickaylen Arteaga, Nathan Gonzales and Nevan Gonzales; a sister, Shelley (Wade) Newsom of Palacios; a sister-in-law, Linda Talley of Sinton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 1, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted there Wednesday, July 2, at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Rene Gonzales, Wade Newsom, Jacob Holliday, Randy Newsom, Mike Gonzales and Jose Aliseda. Honorary pallbearers will be Denise Bushman, Shelley Newsom, Nickaylen Arteaga, Nathan Gonzales and Nevan Gonzales.
