Saturnina Colunga

Saturnina "Nina" (Dominguez) Colunga, 90, of George West, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018.
Mrs. Colunga was born Dec. 28, 1927, in Live Oak County to Ladislao and Vicenta (Escobedo) Dominguez. She married Juan Colunga in George West, was a homemaker and member of St. George Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and children, Juan Colunga Jr., Florinda Carvajal and Rosendo Colunga.
Survivors include her children, Jose (Emma) Colunga, Catarina Colunga, Maria (Antonio) Zuniga and Delma (Amador) Gutierrez, all of George West; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a brother, Antonio (Diana) Reyna of Alice; and two sisters, Petra Vasquez of Alice and Susie (Randy) Hughes of Alice.
Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 26, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons chapel in George West, with a rosary at 7 o'clock.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at St. George Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Armando Gutierrez, Antonio Zuniga Jr., Leroy Valadez, Noah Valadez, Daniel Ortiz and Joel Martinez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kamden Hosek, Kallen Carter, Daniel Ortiz.
