Shantaben G. Patel

Shantaben (Govindbhai) Patel, 90, passed away at Live Oak Nursing Center in George West, Texas on August 12, 2023.

Shantaben was born in India on July 10, 1933 in India to Bhulabhai C. Patel and Prameben Bhulabhai. She was of the Hinduism faith. As a beloved mother to her four children, family time was very important to Shantaben. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bhulabhai and Prameben Patel; her husband, Govinji Patel; and a brother, Bhiku Bhula.

Survivors include her children, Nila Patel of India, Madan Patel of India, Jagruti Parikh of California and Jayesh (Hemu) Patel of Three Rivers; a sister, Sita Patel of Australia; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers with Priest Sri Sai Manoj Machavolu officiating.
