Sharon (Swift) Bartlett, 75, of George West, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at her residence lovingly surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Bartlett was born Oct. 19, 1942, in Kingsville to Frank and Viola (Hancock) Swift. She married Joe Bartlett Aug. 19, 1962, in Uvalde. She resided in George West for 41 years where she was employed with the George West Independent School District as a first-grade teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry McDougald.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Litle Joe Bartlett of George West; two sons, Joe Frank (Jessi) Bartlett and Roy Bob (Elizabeth Paige) Bartlett, both of George West; nine grandchildren, Devin Naylor, Lanie (Joseph) McCumber, Jessa Bartlett, Jenna Bartlett, Cody Bartlett, Kelsi Bartlett, Cameron Bartlett, Kendra (Jeremy) Wilhelm and Karley (Keith) Carter; and three great-grandchildren, Lilly McCumber, Jade Wilhelm and Jacoby Wilhelm.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018, at First United Methodist Church in George West with Rev. John Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lee Angel, Danny Daniels, Pat James, Larry Diaz, Doyal Bird, Doug Stewart, Riley Rhodes and Diana Aguilar.
Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Schneider, Lamon Bennett, Doug Hubert, J. Lyne, Michael Wright and J.D. Centilli.
