Tamara Lohse

Tamara Clark Lohse of Skidmore, TX, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend, passed away on October 13, 2012 at the age of 62. She succumbed to an all too short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Tamara was born on January 18, 1950 in Odessa, TX to Rex and Thelma Clark. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1968. She spent numerous summers attending and then later working at Prude Ranch Summer Camp in Ft. Davis, TX with her brother Chuck Clark. She was able to share those childhood memories with her children as she worked there in the summer while they attended camp. After graduating with a B.S. from Sul Ross State University and Master's from Angelo State University, she retired from teaching after 31 years in the Skidmore, Beeville, San Antonio, and Miles, TX school systems. Her greatest joy came from teaching elementary computer lab. After her education career ended, she spent seven years as the office manager at the Beeville Country Club. She retired from that in 2011 to keep her grandson while his mother worked. This, by far, was her most rewarding job. Tamara was active in the life of Faith Lutheran Church in Beeville, having recently served on the church council. She was also an active member in school support groups and was a lifetime member of the TSTA. Tamara was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 33 years Carroll Wayne Lohse, her son Kevin Lohse of Victoria, her daughter Beth (Teo) Seger and grandson Clark Mathew Seger of San Antonio, and her brother Chuck (Mary) Clark of Virginia and children Paul, Brendan, and Tori. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church in Beeville, TX at 10:00am. Pallbearers are Doug Bolland, Larry Holubec, Matt Lohse, Freddy Schauer, Jim Sugarek, and Mark Sugarek. Reception will be at Faith Lutheran Church following the services.
