Teresa Ann (King) Schubert

Teresa Ann (King) Schubert, 65, of Skidmore, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Teresa was born November 17, 1958, in Ryan, Oklahoma, to OE King and Nell (Attebery) King. She was a 1977 graduate of Skidmore-Tynan High School and married her high school sweetheart, Dale Roy Schubert, in Beeville on November 5, 1977. 

Teresa dedicated herself to her role as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She most enjoyed the time loving her family, husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed time outside in the sunshine, connecting with dear friends and family, and cooking and baking for others. Baking for others was her love language - and she loved big and well! She looked forward to Sunday morning church services and time together with her parents and siblings. Visits from Rhonda, Joanie and Sheryl were treasured and always full of laughter. 

More than anything, she loved being together with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was always planning the next get together and trip north to watch games, spend a few weeks together and what we would bake together next. It could have been her tried and true banana pudding recipe or a brand new experiment, time in the kitchen was always fun and time with her kids and grandkids was her favorite. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Claude and Dovie Attebery and Ollie and Feltce King.

Left behind to cherish fond memories include her husband of 46 years, Dale Schubert; three children, Laura (David) Smejkal, Brian (Brooke) Schubert and Justin Schubert; her grandchildren, Tyler, Blake and Matthew Smejkal, Brittney and JD Schubert, Brody Nick and Mason and Carson Schubert; her parents, OE and Nell King; a brother, Michael King; a sister, Tonia (Darryl) Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 18, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 19 with Rev. John Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore.

Pallbearers will be Brian Schubert, Justin Schubert, JD Schubert, Mason Schubert, Carson Schubert, Tyler Smejkal, Blake Smejkal and Matthew Smejkal.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brittney Schubert and Brody Nick.
