Teresita Bamba

Teresita (Hinanay) Bamba, 79, of Beeville, died Saturday, June 22, 2019.

Ms. Bamba was born in the Philippines Aug. 11, 1939 to Apolonio Hermida and Feliza (Hinanay) Hermida. In 2001, she came to the United States, where she was employed with the Victoria Independent School District and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She had a knack for gardening and enjoyed cooking Philippine cuisines as she sang along to Elvis and Paul Anka tunes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Nestor Hermida, Rudolfo Hermida and Roan Hermida Sr.

Survivors include her siblings, Romeo Hermida, Apolonio Hermida Jr., Salve Hermida Espe, Raquel Hermida Reyes, Dely Hermida Mateo and Rico Hermida; three children, Liza Rebugio, Josephine Bamba and Olan (Willa Napao) Bamba; four grandchildren, Aries Rebugio, Monaliza Rebugio, CJ and Emmanuel Bamba; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Beeville, Texas, with a rosary to be recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will be private.

Pallbearers will be Aries B. Rebugio, Adonis B. Rebugio, Hardie R. Rutab, Mark R. Rutab, Samuel R. Balangue Jr. and Rieden Rebugio.
