Tracy Louis Cox, of Beeville, TX, died on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in George West, TX. He was 76. He was born on October 7, 1937 in San Antonio, TX. He was a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. He married Shirley Hutchins Cox in 1978 in Beeville, TX. Together they lived in a beautiful home in Bandera, TX where their grandchildren spent most of the summer. Tracy loved to spend time fishing, talking with friends for hours, playing cards, having fish fries, making homemade wine, or being with his family. He was the best friend to have, a great role model to admire, and loved by everyone. He believed in doing things right the first time and working hard. He will be dearly missed and remembered by all who knew him. Tracy is survived by his wife, Shirley Cox of Beeville, TX; daughter, Deanna Blackwell of Beeville, TX, grandchildren, Julie Blackwell Edlin (Shawn) of George West, TX, Jerry Blackwell (Jona) of Austin, TX and Jamie Blackwell of Beeville, TX; and great grandsons, Jerry, Jamie and Alex. Tracy was preceded in death by his father, LR Cox and mother, Dorothy Cox of Bandera, Texas and a brother, Wendy Cox of Lake Buchannan. Final visitation will be held October 26, 2013 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm at Galloway and Sons in Beeville, TX. Tracy's ashes will be scattered by his family into the ocean at Corpus Christi Bay where he will be in eternal peace.
