Trinidad Puente Elizondo passed away on April 10, 2015. She was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico on July 20, 1919 to Isabel and Eibureia (Castillo) Puente. She married Favian R. Elizondo on September 11, 1937 in Karnes City. Mr. and Mrs. Elizondo raised their children and farmed in the ranching community of Nell, Texas. Upon retirement, she lived in Three Rivers and most recently as a resident of Live Oak Nursing Center in George West. She was a devote Catholic who will be remembered for her independence, hard work, and impeccable manners. Mrs. Elizondo was preceded in death by husband, Favian R. Elizondo; son, Domingo Elizondo; and two grandchildren. Survivors include son, Yrenio (Mary) Elizondo of San Antonio, Antonia (Elui) Aguirre of Beeville, Pauline Boyle of San Diego, California, Isabel (Ernan) Cortez of George West, Frances (Oscar) Guerrero of Spring Branch, Bertha Cuevas of San Angelo, Connie (George) Gibson of San Antonio, and Rose (Ed) Molbe of Converse; 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are special friends and neighbors, Norman and Dianne Kuenstler and Alex and Mary Lemos. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West, Texas. A rosary will be recited there that evening at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. George Catholic Church in George West. Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery in Three Rivers. In lieu of flowers, contributions or donations may be made to St. George Food Pantry Charities, 304 E. Crockett, George West, TX 78022.
