Virginia Nelson

Virginia (Foley) Nelson, 87, of San Antonio, formerly of Beeville, died Friday, May 31, 2013. Mrs. Nelson was born July 13, 1925, in Corpus Christi to Augusta (Hirst) and Lee Daniel Foley. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Augusta Foley; a son, Randy Wayne Nelson; sisters, Frankie Foley Martin and Ida Foley Schiro; and a brother, Aubry Lee Foley. Survivors include a brother, John William Foley of Alice; children, Rocky D. (Lucille) Nelson of San Antonio and Frank (Charlene) Nelson Jr. of Rockport; grandchildren, Brandon Nelson, Roxanna Nelson and Ross Nelson; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation was held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, at the Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. The funeral service was conducted there at 10 o'clock with Rev. Phil Russell officiating. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park.
