Virginia Nelson

Virginia K. Nelson, 84, went home to her Lord on February 9, 2016. She was born on May 30, 1931, to Jimmie Joseph Krauskopf and Marie Catherine Keil-Krauskopf in Moulton, Texas. She married Harvey L. Nelson Jr. on December 27, 1950, in Beeville. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was employed with Dan A. Hughes Company for 24 years. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harvey L. Nelson Jr. of Beeville; sons, Alan Brian (Pam) Nelson of San Antonio; Mark Randall (Brenda) Nelson of Beeville; one daughter, Karen Nelson (Dennis) Guatney of Pearland; six grandchildren, Kevin, Amber, Heather, Jennia, Jessica and Shawn; and five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Skylar, Brandon, Brady and Sydney. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary recited there that evening at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Pasala officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Nelson, Brandon Nelson, Dennis Guatney, Shawn Nelson, Matthew Wofford, Jordan Nelson and Robert Reese.
