Wayne Shepherd

Wayne M. "Choppy" Shepherd, 63, of Beeville passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014.

He was born March 5, 1951, to Ruby (Tate) and Morris Robert Shepherd. He was a mud engineer for 42 years in the oil field in South Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Ruby Shepherd; brother, Jim Holland; and brother-in-law, Arthur Alaniz.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Frances Shepherd; daughters, Amanda Haws and husband Jamey, and Morgan Reilly and husband David; step-son, Brandon Williford and wife Clarissa; step-daughter, Amber Williford; grandchildren, Ari, Avery and Jessa Haws, Collin Staudt, Gracen Reilly, Quintin Reilly, Sadie Ramirez and Trinity Martinez; sisters, Leslie Lynch and husband Rodney, Pat Workman and husband Mac, and Luanne Alaniz; brothers, Stewart Shepherd and wife Pat, David Shepherd and wife Marilyn, and Rodney Shepherd and wife Jennifer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ike Corrigan, Charles Dorsey, John Shepherd, David Reilly, Will Corrigan, Tate Urban, Trey Sullivan and Jamey Haws.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby and Frank Binns, Brandon Shepherd, Josh Shepherd, Dan Corrigan, Richard Corrigan and Kelley Ottis.
