Wendell Springer

Wendell Springer, 93, passed away on January 12, 2018. Mr. Springer was born on February 7, 1924, to Roy and Fannie Mae (Bell) Springer in Caddo, Oklahoma. He married Dolores Hatcher on May 27, 1951. He was a United States Army Air Corps veteran who proudly served his country. He was a Deacon in the Mineral Baptist Church and was also the church caretaker. Mr. Springer was an entrepreneur and a chemist and was also a former president of the Mineral Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Dolores H. Springer.

He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth Springer and Gary and wife, Patricia Glynn Springer; two grandsons, Ryan and Wendell; three granddaughters, Elizabeth, Kiersten and Maegan; brother, William Oscar Springer; sister, Anna Lou McCarley; and two great-grandsons, Kyle Chitwood and Finley Springer.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at the Mineral Cemetery.
