Wesley Gibson

Wesley Lee Gibson, 62, of Beeville died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011. Mr. Gibson was born Sept. 23, 1949, in Pueblo, Colo., to Bessie Ruth Rodarmel and James C. Gibson. He married Rebecca McKee in Holt, Fla., on Sept. 20, 1974. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of the First Baptist Church, the VFW, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and DAV (Disabled American Veterans). He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Gibson. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Gibson of Beeville; a daughter, Michelle Lee (Ben) Martinez of Beeville; a son, Wesley Lance (Nelda) Gibson of Beeville; and seven grandchildren, Bennett, Bren, Jamison, Brandon, Hayden, Brydan and Faith. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. A service with full military honors was conducted there at 2 o'clock that afternoon.
