William Hammit

William "Bill" Daniel Hammit, 55, of Clegg, passed away on December 23, 2015. He was born on December 7, 1960 to Eldon Wayne and Opal Lee (Stillwell) Hammit in Alice, Texas. He was owner of Camco Saltwater Transport in Clegg. He is survived by his son, Arlon Everett (Stacey) Hammit of George West; daughter, Audrey Elaine (Jamie) Hammit of Clegg; 4 grandchildren, Chasen Hammit, Bailey Hammit, Addley Hammit, and Alexis Kirby; 2 sisters, Lynn (Kenny) Miller and Debbie (Bobby) Fox all of Hatfield, Arkansas; 1 brother, Roy (Kerry) Hammit of San Antonio; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Brush Country Cowboy Church (1417 South Hwy 37 Access Rd. George West, Texas) with Pastor Pat Traxler officiating. Interment will follow at Clegg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Bludau, J.W. Sinor, Junior Chapa, Kenny Miller, Jr., Jody Miller, Beau Sticklin and Charles Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be John Sinor, Travis Miller, Ron Thacker and Keith Gallagher.
